I'm making up this biography i'm about to write: Sonic, Shadow, and Silver were all born on the same day, Sonic being born, Silver being born the future, and Shadow being made, technically being "born." Now, Sonic and Silver grew up to be the people they are today, but, Shadow wasn't exactly born on the same day. He had some "major" issues. Instead of being immortal like he was supposed to be, he kept dying. So, when he was finally fixed, Sonic and Silver had already grown up. Silver had to go to the present cause something caused a meteorite to crash into Earth, destroying all life. So, the three met and called themselves "brothers" since they looked exactly alike. The End! Bye!
